Spiced cranberry-apple cider

BRRRRRRR! It’s cold out there (5-degrees right now, actually). So, to warm things up at your holiday get-togethers, how about a new twist on a popular hot drink? It’s an apple cider and cranberry juice combo you make in your slow cooker. Not only will it taste delish, your house will smell warm and cinnamony-spicy-good!

Start to Finish: 4 hr 5 min
makes: 24 servings (1/2 cup each)

1/3    cup packed brown sugar
2    teaspoons whole allspice
4    sticks cinnamon (3 inch)
1    bottle (48 oz) apple cider (6 cups)
1    bottle (48 oz) cranberry juice cocktail (6 cups)
1.    In 4- to 5-quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients.
2.    Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 6 hours. Before serving, remove allspice and cinnamon.
