As someone who is 5’4″ I was happy to see a new report that shows short people burn more calories walking. Researchers say because people with shorter legs have to take more steps to cover the same distance as people with longer legs, short people use more energy going the same distance.

When I go on walks with taller friends, I always joke that I have to take two steps to their one. Good to know I’ve got them beat on the calorie burning front. :)
