In honor of St. Patrick’s Day and my Brand Ambassadorship with Egg Beaters All Natural 100% Egg Whites, I’ve taken two big recipe leaps – adding spinach and raw egg whites to my protein shakes.
I’ve always wanted to add spinach to my shakes to get the extra nutrition, but just couldn’t get past drinking something green that tastes sweet, if that makes any sense. As for the raw egg whites (filled with lean protein), I honestly had no idea they were safe to drink until I found out Egg Beaters whites are pasteurized. I put my two former fears into one delicious shake – Green Eggs… and Slam!
1/4 cup Egg Beaters All Natural 100% Egg Whites
1/2 cup skim milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 small banana
2 cups spinach
ice to your liking
Put all ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth.
Note: Depending on how thick you like your shakes and how much ice you add, this can either be a very large serving or you could split it into two. Below is the nutritional information for the shake as one serving.
Fat: 1.5 grams
Sat. Fat: 0 grams
Protein: 31.5 grams
Carbs: 34.5 grams
Fiber: 3 grams
Sodium: 238 milligrams
Next time, I might try adding three cups of spinach! 😉
