I’m not one to make New Year’s resolutions, but I’m always excited to try new fitness products right about now. Here are a few I’ve been delving into to help me get 2013 off to a healthy start.

Fitbit Zip Wireless Activity Tracker
It’s tiny, but powerful. This little gadget tracks your steps, distance, and calories burned… then syncs the data to your Fitbit account through your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Find out in real time when you are close to a goal and when you’ve reached one A great tool for staying motivated. You can also take part in friendly competitions with other users to turn that motivation up a notch.
MizFit: How to Build Muscle and Lose Weight Without Losing Your Mind - by Carla Birnberg
I’ve known Carla, aka MizFit, since I joined the fitness blogging world five years ago. She’s as real as it gets, and it shows in her new e-book about how to get started eating right, strength training, PLAYouts (my fave!), and lots more. I sincerely HEART this book. It made me think and giggle – always a good combination. I love Carla’s fun writing style, her wisdom, and role modeling for her daughter… and me. $3.99
I know it isn’t really new, but it’s my new thing. I’m officially hooked on almond milk. It’s sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth, especially with a little cinnamon sprinkled on top. One cup has just 40 calories – not bad for a dessert-y drink. I will post about my new love and concoctions I’ve created it with it soon. Cheers!
Disclosure: I received complimentary samples of some of these products. Others, I found on my own. Some affiliate links included.
