
I had heard a lot about the many benefits of Bikram Yoga, commonly known as “Hot Yoga” so I thought I would give it a try. I LOVED my first class and was extremely pleased and surprised that I did not pass out in the 105-degree room! I left the class drenched in sweat… but feeling re-energized!
Yoga practitioner, Bikram Choudhury, developed the practice to help him heal after a weightlifting accident. He designed the series of 26 hatha yoga poses and breathing exercises to work the entire body in 90 minutes in a sauna-like environment.
The heat warms your muscles so they are more flexible and you can reach deeper stretches.
