Want to eat up those Taco Bell calories but not go over your calorie limits? Yes, it can be done… if you make the right choices. Just beware of menu items like the Bell’s new Chili Cheese Nachos Bellgrande - 810 calories; half of them from fat!
But there are plenty of better-for-you options. Personally, I like the Bean Burrito: 350 calories, 9 grams of fat, 8 grams of fiber.
Did you know you can order any Taco Bell item “Fresco Style” to lower the fat and calories? Instead of the cheese and sauce that are on the regular fare, you’ll get Fiesta Salsa - a flavorful mix of tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Here are a few “Fresco Style” examples:
- Spicy Chicken Soft Taco: 180 calories, 6 grams of fat, 3 grams of fiber
- Gordita Supreme - Steak: 230 calories, 8 grams of fat, 3 grams of fiber
- 7-Layer Burrito: 380 calories, 8 grams of fat, 9 grams of fiber
- Beef Enchirito: 260 calories, 8 grams of fat, 7 grams of fiber
