The next time you have an apple, why not go nuts? It’ll keep things interesting for you or your kids… or both. Here’s a quick apple recipe I found from Kraft Foods that turns the plain old fruit into a fun, healthy, and delicious snack.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Makes: 1 serving
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. PHILADELPHIA Light Cream Cheese Spread
1 medium apple, cored, cut into 8 wedges
1 Tbsp. Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts, chopped
Directions:
Spread cream cheese spread evenly onto apple wedges; sprinkle with peanuts.
That’s it! Enjoy!
Note: you can also substitute a sliced fresh pear for the apple.

For a variation, you can also spread apple slices with peanut butter and sprinkle with some healthy cereal such as Bran buds…my kids loved this and didn’t know how healthy it was for them!
