The United States is no longer the world’s fattest nation. Australia now holds the unwanted title. A new study finds 26-percent of adult Australians are now obese - almost four million people. The U.S. has a 25 percent obesity rate. Australia’s government says the report is a shock to the community and promises to have a national strategy by next year to tackle the crisis.

Well, this is a “first place” that I’m glad we don’t hold. Although, to be honest, I would have rather we lost the distinction by reducing our obesity rate, rather than by having an increase in such a rate in another country…
