So far, the experimental exercise pills are working in mice, say researchers from the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Their new report shows sedentary mice that got one of the drugs for four weeks burned more calories and had less fat than those that did not take it. The second drug boosted the rodents’ endurance during their workouts.
Researchers don’t know how well those results might translate to people. But they say someday, the drugs might help treat obesity, diabetes and people with medical conditions that keep them from exercising.

These types of things always make me a little nervous. It always seems like when we find a quick fix, there are tons of side effects. It would definitely help a lot of people.
