Do they still have home ec classes in schools? I remember taking that class when I was younger and I loved it. I think also teaching parents how to meal plan, grocery shop, and cook quick meals would be greatly beneficial. It seems like everyone is always too busy to prepare good meals. If we want to reverse this trend, I really think that education in our public schools is the first front. Why not totally re-invent Home Ec class so that kids can learn about whole foods and how to purchase and prepare them? Man, this makes me so sad.
