[Disclosure: I received a complimentary sample of this product. I only post giveaways about products I honestly like, or those I think FatFighterTV members would enjoy.]
What are Smashies, you ask? You haven’t seen them in your favorite stores yet? That’s because they’re new – so new, they don’t hit the market until October. But you can try them before then for FREE. First, let me tell you a little about why you might want to do that.
Smashies is a new line of apple sauce for kids. They are organic, have no added sugar, and come in a package that makes it fun for kids to squeeze in their mouths. Perfect for an on-the-go snack.
I tried one and it tastes like… well, apple sauce. Maybe not quite as sweet as the regular stuff, but it was good… and smooth, too.
Up for grabs – a box of 10 Smashies. Here’s how to play: Just tell me in the comments below what snack Smashies would replace… and why you think your kids would want to try them. Easy, huh?
A few contest details: It ends at midnight EST this Friday, September 12… you have to have a U.S. mailing address to enter… and a random number generator will pick the winners.
Thanks, Smashies!

We tried these too! My youngest – who has never accepted a spoonful of applesauce in her life – was totally won over by the packaging. It’s a clever idea and a great little toss-in for lunch boxes and diaper bags.
this look awesome! I would replace the disgusting Fruit snacks that my kids love.
I love it…no HFCS? Awesome! Always looking for good stuff for kids!
No added sugar? HURRAY! Apples are sweet enough without it, right? Yes!
I would replace Goldfish with this. Sounds yummy.
Those Smashies sound good! If I could get my hands on these they would replace chips, goldfish and granola bars. Who said they have to be just for kids though, I would take these to work for a snack!
Another thing that these would be good for are athletes. I coach a high school volleyball team and these would be perfect for game days. They could eat Smashies instead of those sugary candy bars.
I would replace messy fruit on the run. I don’t see how the little ones could not love these… they’re a toy!
I have no clue what snack Smashies would replace for kids, but for me, they would replace my mid-afternoon Oreo cookie attack!
Great idea, Tiff – I think they’d be perfect for athletes. And yes, who says these are just for kids?
iggysaysno,
They’re perfect, no? Healthy and fun for kids!
I would say my kids would love them… something new, that tastes good and is easy. I would like to say I would replace their ice cream habits, but Mommy would miss that too much!
This could replace the fruit rolls that they normally eat and it could also replace the crackers and cookies!
What a great idea! These would replace applesauce in a bowl (Mott’s usually), fruit snacks or fresh fruit in my kids lunch, none of which they look forward to. They might actually look forward to Smashies! How cool! Heck, I might even look forward to eating one of those puppies on the run!
Kim
The smashies would replace the constant snacking on crackers…they’ll eat a hole box of triskets if I let them
They’d love them because they were given to them as a special gift…that’s all it’d take for my girls
**** I have also added your link to this giveaway on my blog but also have it on the sidebar from previously….
Great giveaway!!!!
I would like to think the smashies will replace the potato chips and I think that they will like this applesauce because of the cool packaging
I think even my teenagers would like these as an after school snack for those days when they have committments that keep them AT school for all of those extracurricular activities (play rehearsals, newspaper, hockey practice, etc.)! Goes in the backpack; no mess; no utensils needed. Great!
Kim,
Yes, a perfect on-the-go snack for kids and adults!
Great replacements, everyone – it’s always fun to read about snacks.
Applesauce with no cups or spoons? YAY. These would definately be replacing the evil Goldfish crackers that are so handy to just throw in the diaper bag.
I will use these to replace those plastic individual servings of applesauce that always spill all over when the kids try to pull the foil lid off! We are going to LOVE these things!
Such a healthy alternative and with no sugar. I would replace that big ol’ jar of applesauce in the fridge with this fantastic product, thank-you
yummmmm! i would love to take these on the go instead of grabbing something with lots of sugar.
these would be a great alternative to dry cereal for the diaper bag and car on the go. at home they might choose this over the yogurts or cheese sticks (this would be good…my kids prefer dairy over everything else)!
