It’s ironic how there’s this obesity epidemic and at the same time there are millions of starving people around the world. Now Weight Watchers is trying to target both groups with its new Lose For Good campaign.
It’s a six week program that runs through October 18. For every pound someone loses with Weight Watchers during this time, the company will donate the cost of one pound of food — up to one million dollars. The money will go to two hunger-fighting organizations: Share Our Strength, which helps make sure children in America don’t grow up hungry, and Action Against Hunger, which helps fight hunger around the world.
Oh, and did I mention the FREE three-month Weight Watchers memberships? You can try the group meetings or sign up for the online version – your choice. One lucky FFTV member already got this prize. And there’s one more up for grabs. Just tell me in the comments below why you really, really, really need one of these!
A few contest details: It ends at midnight EST this Friday, September 26… you have to have a U.S. mailing address to enter… and a random number generator will pick the winner.
Thanks, Weight Watchers!

After having had a doctor appt last week and finding out I’ve got high blood pressure and could afford to lose a few lbs I know it’s time to get serious and after some research I think weight watchers is the way to go.
I really really really need this because if I don’t loose weight, I will have to go on insulin because of my bloodsugar. I hate needles!
I’m tired of being over weight. I need to lose the weight once and for all. I know weight watchers would give me the motivation that I’ve been in need for. I have an upcoming wedding and I want to look and feel my best for it.
I gained 60 lbs. I do not feel nor look good. My clothes do not fit. Fat is not pretty. I am in advertising and marketing and it is true, people do buy with their eyes.
I had twins 8 months ago and my body hasn’t been the same since! I really want to change my lifestyle and start eating more healthy!
I may not have had twins, but I do have a 12 week old daughter, a two year old, and a husband. Sometimes it’s like three kids. My husband and I both work full time so there isnt a lot of time that we’ve had to sit down and rework our schedules. I am trying to breastfeed and pump at work. All of which would be easier if I were 35 lbs lighter. We all know you can do a lot more when you dont have that extra “self” hanging around. It would be wonderful to have a support system out there where the goal is the same for everyone, to be a healthier you.
