Snackwise rates food by measuring its nutrient density. Top rated snacks are high in protein, calcium, iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and fiber – enough to offset calories, sugar, fat and sodium. Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Center for Healthy Weight & Nutrition developed the Snackwise system.
The only one of these snacks I’ve ever had is #2 – CLIF Kid Organic Z Bar, Peanut Butter. Have you had any of them? Got any favorites?

and if only any of those were available the times Ive found myself stuck with only VENDING as an option.
(hello pringles…)
I haven’t heard of the snacks mentioned. Are they widely available? I love muffins.
I have not heard of a couple of them, Dr. Hubbard, but I know CLIF, Power Bar, Quaker, and South Beach bars are easy to find. And since you love muffins, here’s more info on the VitaMuffin VitaTops for you! I am going to try them soon – they sound good!
I never knew healthy vending snacks existed.
I agree with ^^^^^. I didn’t know healthy vending snacks existed. My idea of healthy vending snacks were the Snack Well cookies.
Oh, the VitaMuffin VitaTops are very good! My daughter found them online, then tracked them down at The Natural Way, a health food store in my area. I like the CLIF bars too (available at Trader Joe’s). Although I don’t visit the vending machine much, I think I can say that uh… exactly none are available in the machines where I work. dang.
Most of these are bars. Is it possible to have healthy salty crunchy things like chips? How about nut packs. Would love to see those, and um cookies. Organic cookies are good for you, right?..lol!
