We keep hearing about the health benefits of red wine. But now white wine may be just as good for your heart.

When researchers from the University of Connecticut gave rats the equivalent of one or two glasses of white wine, they found the animals’ hearts had less damage during cardiac arrest than those given water or grain alcohol. And the benefits from the white wine were similar to those found after animals were given red wine, which contains the ingredient resveratrol – a molecule found in the skin of red grapes.
