The rise in obesity has led to a surge in cosmetic surgery of up to 31 percent over the past five years, say plastic surgeons in Britain.
Since 2003, tummy tucks have gone up by almost a third in both men and women, according to Harley Medical Group, Britain’s biggest cosmetic surgery company.
And the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) says there’s been a 61 percent increase in the number of men having surgery to flatten their stomachs last year.

The trend in types of surgeries that are being done is really not what I would like to see. There are many wonderful things that a surgeon can do to help people. Cutting away excess bulk is not high on my list of faves!
