Here’s more proof that lack of sleep as a child may lead to obesity later in life. A new report published in the journal Pediatrics shows consistently getting a good night’s sleep may help keep kids from becoming obese as adults. Researchers say their findings support the idea that early sleep habits have a direct effect on weight in the long term.

Actually similiar, relative results have been found in adults.

I totally agree, Sahar. It is hard to maintain or lose weight if one is not getting adequate sleep, even if eating habits and exercise habits have improved; that individual still needs to get sufficient rest. And most of us are definitely sleep-deprived. I always tell my clients that it’s diet and lifestyle combined that results in weight lost and weight maintenance. And by lifestyle, I mean exercise and sleep habits, among other things.
