We’ve heard about the link between weight gain and breast cancer. Now a new study in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute finds overweight and obese women are more at risk of breast cancer and of being diagnosed with advanced stages of the disease. Researchers say the reason may be that the extra weight increases circulating estrogen, which in turn causes tumors to grow.
