Since wine is one of the best ways to go during the holidays as far as calories in festive drinks (see 5 fattening festive drinks), how about some wine charms to go with your vino – fitness themed, of course! Yes, I made these just for you, my faithful readers, but I must also tell you this theme was workout mommy’s idea – so you can thank her, too!
Remember, these are fun on any type of glass with a stem – wine, martini, margarita, as well as on the handle of a beer mug or coffee cup. And you can use them even if you don’t drink alcohol – sometimes I just want to fancy up a glass of sparkling water. The beads are red with gold swirls and the charms are pewter. Sorry the picture isn’t clearer – I need a macro lens!
I’m giving away one set of these fitness wine charms this week – they make a great hostess gift, or keep them for yourself! Just tell me in the comments below what your favorite festive drink is this time of year.
A few contest details: It ends at midnight EST this Friday, December 12… you have to have a U.S. mailing address to enter… and a random number generator will pick the winner.

I want one!!!! SantaSahar!!!
Champagne!
Those EVIL but delicious eggnog lattes at Starbucks. I cannot figure out a non-fattening way to make them for the life of me.
I like the low-fat egg nog.
Hey Sheri! Just leave a comment telling me what your favorite drink is this time of year!
I recently made some hot spiced cider when I had some people over. It was very tasty, but I don’t like to drink a lot of that due to the sugar in it. Since I went on the South Beach Diet about three years ago, wine is my main drink choice at any time of the year. There are so many types to pick from and I know that wine is the healthiest choice, so that makes me enjoy it even more.
P.S. Very cute wine charms!
cute charms-my husband and I enjoy a glass of wine in the cold evenings!
I love cinnamon apple cider. It warms in the crock pot so it lasts a long time. Unfortunately, the recipe calls for brown sugar and those little cinnamon candies, so it’s not very low calorie.
I also love mulled wine, which I see made the list.
these are so cute!!
my fave drink is still diet pepsi. How boring am I?
Thanks, Mary Ann! And keep reaping those benefits from wine.
ladyjay – cinnamon apple cider? Never had it. Sounds delish! (in moderation, right?)
cathys997 – so, is it good with Promise instead of butter? That sounds like a good compromise…
workout mommy – wine charms would look fab on a glass of Diet Pepsi served up in a wine glass. Try it!
Keep working on it TMCOAD – and let me know when you figure it out!
PLEASE send me one
I like Long Island Iced Tea and it deos not matter what season it is.
Trish – those things are potent!
