Women who have more than two alcoholic drinks a day have a higher risk of the most common type of heart rhythm disturbance which can raise the chances of having a stroke, says a new study. Results show there was no increased risk if women didn’t drink or if they had up to two drinks daily. But those who had more than two alcoholic beverages a day had a 60 percent higher risk for atrial fibrillation.
