Show them the money! A new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association finds losing weight is easier when there is cash up for grabs. Researchers from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine say weight-loss programs that reward you with money – and remind you of the cash you would lose if you fail – are a powerful incentive to shed those pounds compared with more conventional programs that ask you to make sacrifices now for rewards in the future.
