Did you know you can design your very own protein bar… then have someone else make it for you? Nice, huh? I just found out about this very cool website, ElementBars.com.
Not only do you get to pick what you want in your protein bar, you get to choose from all-natural ingredients – fruits, nuts, and sweets… then add a boost if you want – protein, fiber, or Omega-3. Make your bar chewy, crispy, oaty, or datey. Then give it a name!
Each bar is hand made and comes labeled with the custom name you choose along with the nutritional information.
I had a shot at this and it was really fun! The FatFighterTV bars I designed are chewy with chocolate chips, peanuts, flax seeds and soy protein. Very yummy! Only next time, I think I would go without the flax seeds – the taste was a little too strong for me.
Want to win your very own 12-pack of protein bars you design? Go to ElementBars’ Build-a-Bar section and pick your ingredients. Then leave a comment telling me what you would choose for your bar… and what you would name it.
A few contest details – it runs through midnight EST this Friday, February 20, you have to have a U.S. mailing address to enter… and a random number generator will pick the winners.

That was fun. And a little dangerous early on Monday a.m. It’s not like I should be getting ready for work or anything.
I made a TippyToeHealth Bar with oats, whey protein, pumpkin seeds, a fiber boost & chocolate chips. I have no idea how this would taste, but I’ve bookmarked the site and may have to give it a try. Thanks for the link!
Oaty Core
Almonds
FlaxSeeds
Chocolate Chips Organic not available
Cashews Organic not available
Pumpkin Seeds Organic not available
I would name it “Protein Chocolate Chew”!
Oaty core, chocolate chips, maple syrup, pumpkin spice, and fiber boost for Moonduster’s High Fiber Bar.
(Yes, I have a sweet tooth.)
Funny thing is, through my group at Slimming World, I buy Slimming World Hi-Fi bars (High in fiber) in mint chocolate and orange chocolate flavors, and they are only about 119 calories. The bar I created at that site is 188 calories. The really wierd thing is that the overall calories go UP to 192 if I delete the maple syrup from the bar. ???
I put together one with
Oaty core
Almonds
Chocolate Chips
Agave Syrup
Hmm that might be a tad sweet LOL
I would call it Sweet & Nutty Oat Love Bar
Hope you had a great birthday week!
I would do a date bar base with pumpkin seeds, honey and whey powder.
I love Larabars, and make my own date bars I call Loribars LOL. So that’s what I would call this one.
Cammy – work… on President’s Day? Yeah, me too…
moonduster – that is weird. I wonder if deleting the maple syrup adds more of one of the other ingredients that has more calories?
Thanks, Lori. And I am cracking up about the “Loribars.” Perfect.
Chewy Gooey Power Bar made with almond butter, apricots, flax seed, soy nuts, chocolate chips, Omega 3 boost, and agave syrup.
EasyBar:
Chewy, Soynuts, Pumpkin Spice, Omega 3.
Very, very cool! I always learn something new here! Thanks!
so cool! I chose a date-y core bar with blueberries, cherries, pumpkin spice, flax, walnuts, and a boost of fiber, and lots of protein. My Powermommy bar is loaded with lots of mommy-sustaining energy
i would make one with dates, almonds, honey and whey powder. it would be called the alibar.
I would like one that is filled with Pizza!
HB
Chewy core with blueberries & cranberries, honey, almonds, & a boost of 10g of soy protein. I’d call it the Soy delight bar. ~
Thanks! Fun making my own protein bar!
Herblady’s Happy Hunger Halter:
crispy almond butter core, with cherries, cranberries, walnuts, chocolate chips, blueberries, agave syrup and soy protein.
(Guaranteed to fill you up but not out.)
Ummm… hb – pizza was not an option. You must have gone to the wrong site.
“New Hampshire’s Yummy Bar” features blueberries, maple syrup, almonds over a chewy core, with whey protein to give it a boost. Mmmm..if I can’t have fresh picked blueberries with maple syrup poured over (this would be even better on a homemade waffle!), I will grab one of these!
Oh my, that was fun! I chose Fiber Boost, Omega-3 Boost,Immunity Boost,Chocolate Chips and Oat-y Core and I would call it Mom-ergy!
I would have a chewy core with the almond butter, blueberries, cranberries, pumpkin seeds with pumpkin spice, agave syrup, fiber boost, and whey protein boost (5 grams). The name I choose for my bars is dynamobar.
That’s a great and innovative idea. Thanks for the info
Cool site! Here’s my bar:
Chewy
Cranberries
Almonds
Honey
Immunity
Not sure what I’d name it though, maybe health nut. Thanks for this link.
Oaty base, blueberries, almonds, flax, whey protein boost, omega-3 boost, fiber boost, pumpkin spice… I would call it the Boost-R Bar…packed with good stuff to boost your mind, body and taste buds!!
I started with the Oaty core and added apricots, blueberries, cherries, cranberries, brown rice syrup, and fiber and immunity boosts. Called it the Fruity Oaty Bar ’cause I’m a dyed-in-the-wool Browncoat.
Gosh it was so hard to choose a bar…all the ingredients sounded so good. But I chose:
The oaty core
bluberries
cherries
almonds
chocolate chips(Mmmm)
brown rice syrup
Omega-3 boost
and 2 grams of soy protein
261 calories is a lot for a bar…but I’m sure it would taste great. I would name it Tiff’s Power up!
Chewy
soy protein
choco chips
blueberries
pumpkin seeds
This would be called chocolate blueberry delight
Oh, these are so awesome looking! I would go for the chewy core with prunes, chocolate chips, pumpkin seeds and pumpkin spice. What would I call it? Hmmmm….maybe pumpkin perfection.
I had an oaty core with apricots, cranberries, almonds, chocolate pieces, and pumpkin spice.
I would call it the MIdnight Autumn Spice Bar
