Last month, we found out the Army has been dismissing so many overweight applicants that its top recruiter is thinking about starting a fat farm to turn chubby trainees into fit soldiers. Now a report from the Pentagon says the number of troops diagnosed as overweight or obese has more than doubled since the beginning of the Iraq war. The study finds stress and return from deployment are the most common reasons for gaining weight.
