Obesity in children may be taking its toll on children’s sleep. A new report finds kids with chubby bellies are more likely to have sleep-disordered breathing, a condition linked to behavioral problems, hyperactivity and difficulty staying awake at school. Until recently, enlarged tonsils or adenoids were thought to cause most sleep-disordered breathing in children, but researchers say obesity may now be the main reason.
