If you love peanut butter as much as I do – which is VERY MUCH – but wish you could ditch a lot of the calories and fat, PB2 is coming to your peanut butter-loving rescue! I just bought some a few weeks ago and I’ve been adding it to my almost-daily protein shakes and I love it! .
So, what is PB2? It’s powdered peanut butter with WAY fewer calories and MUCH less fat:
- 2 tablespoons of regular peanut butter have 200 calories and 16 grams of fat
- 2 tablespoons of PB2 have 53 calories and 1.87 grams of fat
Wow, huh?! How do they do that??!! The folks who make PB2 over at Bell Plantation basically squeeze out the oil from roasted peanuts. What’s left is powdered peanut butter with no artificial sweeteners or preservatives.
Up for grabs this week – a 4-pack of PB2, compliments of Bell Plantation. To enter for a chance to win, head down to the comments and tell me how you like to eat or drink your peanut butter.
A few contest details – it runs through midnight EST this Friday, July 3, you have to have a U.S. mailing address to enter… and we will use random.org to pick the winner.

I love to eat my PB on bananas, plain, in yogurt, on rice cakes. I absolutely LOVE PB!!!
Kim
I would love to try this. I’ve seen bloggers RAVING about this stuff for months. I like to eat PB with fresh cut fiji apples.
My whole family loves PB – on toast, on bananas, in smoothies, in rice kripie treats, on apple slices, in cake frosting . . . you name it. I even put peanut butter in my chili sometimes.
We LOVE PB and have not as of yet tried the PB2 this would be an awesome way to try ti!
I eat my PB in my oatmeal, make PB cookies and the good ol PB sammy with fresh bananas or strawberries on it.
Love this idea and would love to give this powdered PB a try!
My favorite use of PB right now is on top of bananas for breakfast, but I also love PB on crackers, as a PB&J sandwich, and on apple. I can’t say that I’ve ever used it in a drink, but what a fun thing to do! A banana and PB smoothie sounds really good!
Not entering the giveaway since I have 12 jars on my pantry shelf. Well, 11-1/3 jars. I just wanted to share the PB love!
My absolute favorite way to eat peanut butter is on pancakes, preferably with lots of syrup, but in my healthier world I settle for just a drizzle.
Second fave (and much more frequently enjoyed) is a PB&banana sandwich, and I’ve found the grainier the bread, the better the sandwich.
I also like PB on apple slices, on celery sticks, and on crackers. And, of course, I do love a good peanut butter cookie. With criss-crosses on top.
As you can see, I do love peanut butter! I would probably eat spinach if I could figure out…say, there’s an idea!
Choosing Losing – Yep, it’s good stuff.
Saraldb – in your chili, huh? Interesting…
cathy – The protein shakes I make are peanut butter-banana-chocolate (chocolate protein powder) and they are sooooooo good!
Cammy – good luck with the spinach…
i love to put a scoop of pb in a shake with a frozen banana and chocolate hemp milk. my 2nd fave is to dip apple slices in it. so yummmy
After a recommendation at a WW meeting, I have been using the PB2 for awhile now. I have used it from everything to dipping carrots and fruit in it to sprinkling it on asian food to add that “thai peanut” kick. I actually used it (in a pinch) in hummus once (instead of using tahini, which has great flavor but also a lot of calories) and it was pretty good!
I love the fact that I can still have peanut butter, but at 1 point for 2 tbsp instead of 6-7 points (for other PB choices). Good times!!
I love PB on rice cakes topped with cinnamon.
I like to drink my peanut butter straight up in a tall glass….but it makes me choke. LOL! Seriously. I take my peanut butter on a soft piece of wheat bread, or a big greedy glob on a spoon 30 minutes before my workout.
Yay for me if I win!
Love peanut butter on crackers.
shannon222 – peanut butter hummus? Was it good?
Yum Yucky – You are cracking yourself up about drinking your PB, aren’t you? Brat.
I too, love this stuff – it is so good – sometimes I just mix it up and eat it with a spoon after a work out to get some low cal protien in! I have used it in baking too, and it is great!
I’m just hooked on peanut butter sandwiches on weight watcher or other low cal bread. It would be great to have a peanut butter with lower fat than even the low fat kind (which really isn’t very low fat)
I *LOVE* having a slice of wheat bread with PB and a glass of milk…YUM! This is interesting stuff…I want to try it!
I love PB – especially on toast at breakfast. But, because of hte calorie/fat count – haven’t had it in eons – just keep making the pb sandwiches for the wrecking crew.
Sure would be nice to have it again.
I had not heard about this before. Powered peanut butter sounds good enough to snort!(Kidding.) Seriously, I will have to check it out even if I don’t win.
I love peanut butter sandwiches, and the occasional peanut butter malt…Rare now. This product has possibilities.
I love to spread peanut butter on whole wheat toast. That makes for a yummy snack.
I love mashed-up peanut butter and banana. Mmmm …
This powdered peanut butter sounds really interesting. Cool contest.

I love PB on toast, on fruit, on a spoon, in a shake, and even on hamburgers!!
You can never go wrong with an old fashion pb and j sandwich. When I was young I used to mix the pb & jelly up and ate it with crakers. I also love pb on toaster waffles with syrup.(This is my kids fav also.)
LOL, This Mama about snorting it! I am totally laughing out loud.
Leigh Ann – I have had PB on sliced bananas before, but never on mashed ones. Do you just mix the two together? Sounds yummy!
jayfr – A peanut butter malt sounds really, really good!
cherylynn – On hamburgers? Seriously? Hmmm…
Oh yea, I’m kind of addicted to peanut butter. Love it in smoothies, on bananas, toast and the list goes on. I have really wanted to try this PB2. I hear it’s really good mixed in Greek yogurt. yum!
I think they have something like this at Trader Joe’s. Now I am dying to go check. I never paid it much mind till you mentioned adding it to your protein shake. I am just going crazy thinking of the possibilities..
I commented purely on the product not realizing the rules of the contest. I mostly add some peanut butter to my protein shakes, but occasionally when I really want a treat, I line the inside of an ice cream cone with it then scoop on the ice cream… It is heavenly. I even have my daugther addicted to it. I figured by adding the PB, you can even make ice cream healthy (in my mind at least).
I love to eat peanut butter with crackers and in my protein shakes. But I like it best right out of the jar, by spoon!! Not the best way to eat it when you are trying to get in shape!!!
Mmmm, we love peanut butter but eat it sparingly because of the fat. I love it on whole wheat toast, in a PB & banana sandwich, and on celery, but I especially love it in Asian sesame noodles! Yum!
I have been buying this stuff for a while, it is GREAT. I whip mine up and put in on an english muffin with a sliced banana…
My absolute favorite comfort food is peanut butter with apple slices. Whenever I have a bad day, that is what I crave. If I’m out of apples, I make do with my second favorite, a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Yummy!
I make peanut butter cookies out of oatmeal from a diet program. I also love the peanut butter in my protein shakes.
I use peanut butter in every way shape or form…
cookies, in milkshakes, complementing jelly on sandwhiches, in oatmeal, on apples and carrots, on popcorn, on crackers….that’s right, I COULD go on!
Its a good source of protein and has a great taste, and is a great post-workout recovery tool.
I can think of so many ways to use this product. I’d use it in my chicken with peanut butter sauce over noodles. And I’m thinking it would be good in baking. Like rolling cookie dough in it before baking. I love to experiment and I’m getting ideas!
Thanks.
I really love peanut butter in all ways, but think peanut butter and banana may be my favorite.
I absolutely LOVE peanut butter in my oatmeal and on my sweet potatoes. You’ve got to try it!!
Angie – I will have to try it with Greek yogurt – great idea!
Oh yum, mmcg24! Lining the inside of an ice cream cone with PB sounds divine!
kmwalkerrn – Out of the jar is the best! We just gotta use SMALL spoons, right?
dandman901 – Ummm… on carrots? That doesn’t sound so tasty… is it good?
OMG Katrina! I think I saw a Jayhawk on your blog! I grew up in Lawrence! Where do you live?
wirlwindamy – sweet potatoes???
my favorite PB is in cookies or granola bars. not the healthiest thing ever, but darn tasty!
though, i have started to put PB in my smoothies!
When I want a treat I savor a tablespoon of peanut butter just as it comes from the jar. The peanut butter satisfies my cravings and gives me energy.
PB2 sounds like the perfect solution for those of us who love peanut butter but have to be careful about our diets.
Thank you for the contest. Happy Fourth of July!
Hmmmm…..PB2 would be good in a smoothie…how about 1 tablespoon chocolate malted powder, vanilla non-fat yogurt, and a frozen banana? Thank you HG for inspiration!
My absolute favorite is a golden delicious apple with my chunky PB, usually Smart Balance Brand with the added omega 3’s. I also enjoy it on a slice of 7 grain toast. I would love to try PB2!
I LOVE PB!!! I put pb in my protein shakes and smoothies, I also like to eat my pb on top of waffles with bananas on top.
Pat – Happy 4th to you, too!
Myra – Yum, that sounds good! Even better, add some chocolate protein powder to it!
HUH????? Powdered PB?!?! How can I eat that out of the jar?! Can you make it ‘creamy’ to put on stuff? As a kid I used to dip my spoon into PB, then dip it into the sugar bowl! mmmm! Alas, that’s how I got to be over 300lbs! Since that is not an option anymore,150lbs later, I’d like to try this new stuff! Where can I buy this (just in case I don’t win!! PB is great with almost anything!!!
I have 3 favorite ways to eat my pb.
1. Spread on a Vitatop for chocolatey peanut butter goodness.
2. Spread on a banana and drizzled with honey or agave nectar – YUM!
3. Ummmmm…..straight off the spoon!
Nut butters rock!
I enjoy spreading my peanut butter on a hot baked potato, letting it melt and then eating it up. MMM…GOOD!
RussianBlondie – You dipped PB in sugar? Interesting…
Now, about PB2 – yes, you can mix it with water to make it smooth. There is much more info here, which is where you can also order it, if you want to.
George – I have never heard of PB on a baked potato! Hmmm…
I LOVE straight up PB2 on whole wheat bread. A satisfying and delicious lunch!
I Love Peanut butter too! HAve always wanted to try this stuff. I am in the process of losing around 90lbs(down 20) and I love Peanut butter in my protein shakes after a workout, also love it on apples and WW toast yummy!!
