Walking or biking to work – even if you just do it part of the way – is linked with fitness. But when a new study looked at more than 2,000 middle-aged people who live in the city, it found very few Americans do either. Experts note crumbling sidewalks, lack of bike paths and the distance to work all keep American commuters in their cars.

I’d be roadkill if I attempted this….or maybe mistaken for a “street-walking entrepreneur” (ya know what I mean?). The drive into the city is like that.
Hi Sahar,
So, I’m all for biking. I try to bike to work 2 or 3 times a week. It’s a great way for me to get some exercise in, and even more than that – I find it’s also just a great time to “think”…free from the noise of the world. So, for me – it really ends up being good for me both physically and mentally. I am lucky that I have access to bike paths, and to roads that are very lightly traveled.
Yum Yucky – This is way too funny!
Yum Yucky – “street-walking entrepreneur” – LMAO!!!
Lance – That is so awesome that you ride your bike to work – great point that it’s good for you both physically and mentally. What do you do in the winter?
