Here’s a recipe that uses the nutritious and tasty fruit and nut combo of bananas, blueberries, and walnuts. It calls for whole wheat flour for an even bigger nutritional punch. I found it in one of my favorite places to look for healthy recipes – Clean Eating magazine – and got the okay to share it with you. Happy baking!

This is healthy AND my kids will probably eat it! Thanks for the recipe!
Sahar, that recipe looks too good for words! I have to admit that I love banana bread. As for blueberries, they’re always a favorite of mine.

Slurps!
I just happened to be baking bread when I stumbled upon this site..
I have never made banana bread (I’m from Finland) but this is something I’m definitely going to try. I assume I can use frozen blueberries instead of fresh ones.

Yes, I think frozen blueberries would be fine.
I don’t agree with an ingredient or two in this recipe. “Whole wheat” being healthy for you is mythical at best. A better, gluten free alternative would be to take some Quinoa and make meal out of it using a grinder. Now that’s healthy. Gives you tons more vitamins, nutrients and protein. My two cents…
Whoops…flour in general, wheat or spelt. I wonder why they gave me an angry faced icon? I’m not mad. Really I’m not =)
