For those of you who don’t like the calories in regular soda, but hate the taste of diet, there will soon be “Pepsi Next.” The new pop has 60 calories per can and hits store shelves by the end of March.
Me, I’ll stick to my water.

I actually know a few people who might like this concept – always complaining about the “weird aftertaste” of diet drinks. I’ve always enjoyed the diet stuff just fine – regular tastes WAY too sweet to me now. But I’m trying to cut back on ANY soda, so this seems kind of pointless to me.
Would people really buy this?
Me too – water! Well, I do have to have my coffee too!
This sounds like more of a marketing ploy then a drink that could make a difference.
So many people drink full sugar stuff as a statement, many others wouldn’t dream of going anywhere near a low sugar drink because of their image, others just don’t do full sugar because they don’t want to gain weight and are happy enough with the low calorie- why add calories where there were none!
I can’t see this lasting more then a few years without either the full sugar stopping sale (maybe this is the idea? Aren’t brands taxed specificly for making unhealthy foods and drinks?) or the diet version is cut. There is no real need for this and no clear market space.
Actually I think this is a great idea and most definitely not pointless! I believe there IS a market for this. Many folks are like me – hate the chemical taste in diet soda, but know too much real soda is unhealthy. A middle-ground soda. I know CocaCola struck out with C2, but that was in 2005. Reports say the Dr Pepper 10 is hanging in there!
it’s just a beverage trend. the question is why people like the strange drink? maybe they just want to throw away money. drink to supply the needs of the body is better for me hehehe
